About the Role

This Senior Project Manager (Pacific) role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality projects for our market leading, global clients. This role is responsible for the full project lifecycle, managing program and budget, whilst working closely with our Design team to ensure consistency in our personalised, bespoke service offering.

Key Responsibilities

The role will primarily be seconded directly to one of our key clients to assist in Program and Project management services to support the planning and execution of Pacific projects in locations including Samoa; Tonga; Kiribati; Vanuatu; Solomon Islands; Fiji; and Cook Islands.

This Brisbane based Senior Project Manager (Pacific) role will involve travel to the above locations and collaboration with Client Pacific Property Lead, Cachet design team, and external consultants to:

  • Develop project scope, concept design and cost plans for projects.
  • Assess feasibility of project options and provide due diligence reports into various sites and project delivery options.
  • Manage tender process for engagement of external consultants to support due diligence and design / documentation.
  • Mange tender process for engagement of contractors to undertake works on site.
  • Assist with preparation of client internal feasibility analysis and project approval documentation.
  • Manage all stakeholders to ensure projects are on design, on time and on budget.
  • Successfully manage the balance of time, quality & cost to achieve project milestones and client satisfaction

About you!

Given the nature and seniority of this role, you will have previous experience in delivering fit-out and refurbishment projects, have demonstrated client relations experience and be a confident communicator in all facets – particularly when managing supply chain stakeholders. These skills will compliment your strong team leadership capability and support your preferred operating style suited to a fast paced and high tempo environment.

You will be capable of working on your own initiative, operating both autonomously and collaboratively as part of the wider Design & Delivery team. You will have a hands-on approach whilst instilling a “can do attitude” being both responsive and proactive.

Role requirements….What’s essential for us?!

To be successful and thrive in this role you will have

  • 6+ years’ experience in Project Management or Construction Manager
  • Experience working in the Pacific Islands or completing offshore projects (preferred)
  • Willingness to undertake regular travel throughout the pacific region
  • Strong knowledge of the design and delivery process in a commercial context
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Software skills to include Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project experience
  • Experienced in using and developing internal systems and processes such as WHS Management and Project Delivery systems
  • Flexibility to focus on a single client with a variety of project types or multiple, concurrent projects in various stages of development
  • Understand and coordinate tasks, giving direction quickly to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
