Cachet Group is proud to share that our project with Aussie Broadband in Traralgon has been awarded Silver at the 2026 Melbourne BETTER FUTURE Design Awards for Interior Design (Corporate).
The category recognises workplace interiors across space planning, finishes, furnishings and overall design response. For Cachet, the recognition celebrates a workplace grounded in strategy, regional identity and the needs of Aussie Broadband’s people.
A Regional Workplace Built Around Connection
Aussie Broadband’s story started in Gippsland. Their new Traralgon flagship workplace brings its regional team together in one central location and reflects the business’s growth from its Victorian roots.
Delivered as part of Cachet’s ongoing national partnership with Aussie Broadband, the project began with a detailed workplace strategy with our sister company, Athena Blue Global.
The strategy explored how the team worked, where the existing workplace fell short, and which environments were needed across the day. Insights around acoustics, lighting, neurodiversity-informed planning, collaboration settings and technology integration informed the workplace design from the outset.
Workplace Design Informed by People
The completed workplace provides greater choice between focus, collaboration, and connection.
Individual work settings sit alongside Create and Gather zones, meeting rooms and informal drop-by spaces. A Team Hub and Town Hall support communal dining, company milestones, and larger team gatherings. A dedicated Prayer and Parents Room supports a more inclusive workplace experience.
Acoustic performance was a key consideration throughout the space. Tactile finishes, planting, layered colour and different work settings also support a more considered sensory experience.
Aussie Broadband’s brand forms a clear part of the design. The brand’s green identity flows through the floorplate, supporting wayfinding and connecting different zones across the workplace.
The result is distinctly Aussie Broadband. A workplace grounded in the company’s regional roots, while supporting the needs of a growing national business.

The award reflects the strategy, design thinking, and collaboration behind a workplace built around the people using the space each day.
