About The Role
As Design Lead in our Sydney studio, you will lead the local design function and embed Cachet’s design philosophy across every stage of a project. From briefing and concept through to documentation and delivery, you will set the creative direction and uphold design quality. You will oversee multiple projects, guide team performance and align local output with national standards. As part of the studio leadership team, you will drive collaboration, accountability and a strong design culture.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and champion Cachet’s design ethos across all studio projects
• Provide creative direction and constructive feedback from concept to completion
• Oversee design quality, documentation standards and project consistency
• Balance creative excellence with programme, budget and delivery requirements
• Manage studio resourcing and workflow planning in collaboration with delivery teams
• Mentor senior and junior designers, supporting growth and performance
• Contribute to national design initiatives and continuous improvement
• Represent Cachet in client presentations and key industry engagements
About You
You are an experienced design leader with a strong commercial portfolio and a track record of delivering complex projects. You combine strategic thinking with practical delivery and lead with clarity and confidence. You build trust with clients and bring out the best in your team.
• Extensive experience in commercial interior design and project leadership
• Advanced capability in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong understanding of documentation, coordination and construction processes
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
• Confident communicator and presenter
• Committed to collaboration, innovation and high performance
