At Cachet, we design for culture—not just for space. We’re a strategy-led design & construct firm shaping high-performance workplaces across Australia. Our Melbourne studio is growing, and we’re on the lookout for an exceptional Senior Interior Designer to join our team.

As a Senior Interior Designer at Cachet Group, you will be at the forefront of creating innovative and functional interior spaces for our diverse range of projects. This role is ideal for someone who’s confident engaging with clients, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a solid background in workplace design. You’ll be working across all project stages—from briefing and concept development to documentation and delivery—supported by a collaborative team and a design-first culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead or co-lead client briefings, workshops, and presentations from concept to completion, ensuring that designs align with client needs and brand identity.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, budget, and goals, offering expert design advice and solutions.
  • Develop intelligent, experience-driven workplace design concepts
  • Present design proposals to clients, adjusting concepts based on feedback while maintaining the integrity of the original vision.
  • Develop detailed design concepts, mood boards, sketches, and 3D visualizations to communicate ideas effectively.
  • Oversee the selection of materials, furnishings, fixtures, and finishes, ensuring the highest quality and attention to detail.
  • Produce high-quality design packages across all project stages
  • Collaborate closely with our delivery, construction, and project teams
  • Represent Cachet with professionalism, insight, and design expertise
  • Stay up to date with the latest design trends, technologies, and innovations to bring fresh ideas to each project.

About You:

You will be a highly creative and strategic Senior Interior Designer with a passion for delivering exceptional spaces. Your ability to manage and inspire a design team, combined with your keen eye for detail, will drive successful project outcomes and exceed client expectations.

  • 7+ years of interior design experience, with a strong focus on workplace
  • Confident communicator with proven client-facing capability
  • Strong Revit skills (essential)
  • Creative thinker with a practical edge—you know how to bring ideas to life
  • Someone who’s passionate about culture, people, and progressive design
  • Australian Resident or PR
