Group Purchasing Manager

As Group Purchasing Manager, you will drive Cachet Group’s strategic procurement framework across all regions. Working closely with the Managing Director, Head of Delivery, Estimating Manager, and General Managers, you will strengthen our supply chain, embed scalable purchasing systems, and secure commercial advantages that directly improve project performance and client value. This role shapes how Cachet buys- building consistency, quality, and long-term vendor partnerships.

What You Will Be Doing

• Develop and implement a vendor pre-qualification and performance program covering quality, pricing, safety, and contractual compliance.
• Expand the depth, capability, and geographic coverage of our supply chain.
• Identify and establish preferred supplier agreements – rebates, preferential pricing, and partnership incentives- with a focus on design-led and general construction materials.
• Lead procurement strategy for furniture, including supplier negotiation, pricing, design team coordination, and bulk-buy opportunities.
• Create and manage Cachet Group customer accounts across categories such as whitegoods, appliances, and hydraulic fixtures.
• Source group-wide lighting supply agreements (LED panels, downlights, CAN lights, feature lighting).
• Develop a standard system furniture range—either in-house or with partners—with fixed pricing for key components.
• Establish strategic partnerships with Audio Visual and Access Control vendors to support integrated project delivery and ongoing Cachet Care service.
• Continuously review and refine procurement practices, identifying cost-saving opportunities, efficiency gains, and improvements across the group.
• Prepare clear reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost outcomes for senior leadership.
• Embed sustainable and socially responsible sourcing practices, supporting local suppliers and promoting ethical procurement across all categories.

About You

• Proven procurement or purchasing leadership experience within construction, fitout, design, or related industries.

• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of improving gross profit, negotiating supplier terms, and securing group-wide advantages.

• Confident building and managing supplier networks across multiple regions.

• Skilled in evaluating vendor performance, risk, and contractual compliance.

• Comfortable collaborating with design, delivery, estimating, and finance teams.

• Highly organised, detail-focused, and proactive in identifying new efficiency and value opportunities.
