About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Financial Accountant to join Cachet! Our team is experiencing growth and we are looking for an experienced finance accountant to join us to automate and elevate our processes throughout the business, to  create a high-performance culture driving insights and efficiencies.

Responsibilities

Reporting directly into the Group Finance Manager, your daily duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Managing the overall accounts payable process, including invoicing, payment processing, and vendor management.
  • Contribute to the Accounts Payable/Vendor Management automation process
  • Month-end financial accounting closing process, including GL entries, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, P&L reviews etc.
  • Preparation of indirect tax returns (GST / BAS) for review
  • Expense Management: Monitor and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • General Ledger Assistance: Support the maintenance of the general ledger, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Assist with the management of the company’s cash flow forecasting and monthly reporting
  • Assist with year-end Audit process and working paper development
  • Assist with ad hoc requests, improve accounting processes, and support finance and business initiatives and projects.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years’ experience working in accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll and tax compliance
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA/CA certification or working towards
  • Excellent oral and writing communication skills
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite, with advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Audit experience gained in an accounting firm or within a company finance team
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team
